Privacy Notice

This notice describes what information Nye County Released Inmates receives, how we use it, and when another party may receive it. By continuing to use the site, you accept the practices described here.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search Tools

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted to the third-party company operating that tool. This site does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages Sent to Us

If you send an email or contact message, we keep the information needed to respond. We do not share the message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Information Collected During a Visit

Standard server, analytics, and advertising technologies may receive routine information when a page loads, including:

  • the visitor's internet protocol address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device category and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent on them;
  • the referring website, when available; and
  • the date and time of the request.

Cookies and Similar Storage

Cookies help show how visitors use the site. You can restrict or disable them through browser controls, although doing so may cause some functions to behave differently.

Purposes for Using Information

  • operate the website and maintain performance;
  • send a search request to the selected partner service;
  • understand which Nye County release guides visitors find useful;
  • diagnose errors and other technical problems; and
  • display advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.

Other Websites and Advertising

Links may lead to NCSO or NDOC records, government portals, release resources, and independent search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy and data practices apply.

Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across different websites and select interest-based advertising. That cross-site processing takes place under the partner's controls, not ours.

Parties That May Receive Information

We do not sell personal information. Depending on how the site is used, data may be handled by:

  • search partners that process submitted queries;
  • analytics providers that measure site use;
  • advertising networks that deliver ads; and
  • law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.

Reasonable Security, Not a Guarantee

We use standard safeguards appropriate to a public website. No service connected to the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.

Visitors Younger Than 18

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Get in Touch page to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, you may ask for a copy of personal information we hold, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Nevada public records held by government agencies are separately governed by NRS Chapter 239; this private site does not control those official records.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this privacy notice as site practices or legal requirements change. An updated version takes effect when posted here and will carry a new effective date.
